25-year-old lesbian, Chicago. I like mystery novels, comic books, art history and puppies. If you're looking for just my artwork, you want packupmydinosaurs.

I also draw a webcomic, Nash and the Leviathan, which will soon be available at packupmycomics.com

I am actually kind of amazed I got this done! The lineart has been sitting around forĀ months.

What it says on the tags tin. Life drawings! 10 minutes each, china marker on butcher paper.

Got some Prismacolor fineliners and wanted to play with them a bit! Jerry and Winifred—as teenagers or thereabouts—and then Winifred and Hilary during the war.

I’m almost sorry for putting this on the Lord Peter tag, because I’m pretty much just playing around in my own headcanon here. Almost sorry, but not quite.

and anyway this tag gets used about once a month anyway :(

And this is a thing I am working on for thewolfyears.

I don’t think this really counts as drawing? It was a project in an Illustrator class—I collaged a couple photos and traced over them, mainly, and then added Christmas lights and text.
Anyway I haven’t been doing enough actual drawing lately so here is a postcard for my hometown

I drew this for a purpose at some point last semester, but what that purpose was God only knows. I’d completely forgotten about it until I found it on my thumb drive just now.

Hourly Comics Day is over! Hooray, hooray, hooray.

I do try (with varying success) not to talk shit about my own artwork, but that does not prevent me from going “holy god, self, your handwriting D:”

…In fact, you know what, tumblr shrank these files to actual illegibility, thanks tumblr

Some of you remember that time last June I tried to Start A Webcomic. This failed, because I am allergic to deadlines and schedules and also I was perpetually really unhappy with the art I was producing.

So I am hoping to redraw the whole thing in this ten-times-nicer-looking style, finish it all and post it all at once. This is my favorite of the pages I’ve redrawn so far.

Anyway, I think I am all caught up now, and I hope no one minded the spam the last couple of nights.

Cover design for my own autobiography—the blank cut paper illustration on the left, and the scanned version with text on the right.

Still finding more stuff from last semester/last spring even that’s stashed at work and should have been in my actual srs portfolio.

Costume designs for Hedda Gabler.

One day in March 2008 when basically nothing was right in my life whatsoever, I went home for spring break and got to see Patrick Stewart play Macbeth, except that I got so excited about the production design that I almost forgot to be excited about Patrick Stewart.

This was the point at which I seriously began going “hey, maybe I’m in school for the wrong thing.”

I wrote a whole picture book about this puppy! Someday I will draw it properly and it will be a Christmas and/or birthday present for my ickle cousin.

I am extremely ambivalent about Occupy Chicago, and I have no intention of contributing to their occasional calls for art, but I drew this and I like it regardless.
